FoPHS: Friends of Poole High School(PTA)
What is FoPHS?
Friends of Poole High School is our well established parent-led group, designed to strengthen the connection between home and school.
As children move into secondary school, we know that parental involvement naturally changes. Busy schedules, work commitments, and growing student independence often mean that parents have less time to be regularly involved in school life. We want to reassure you that we understand this completely.
That’s why FoPHS is built on flexibility. We welcome any support you can offer, whether it’s once a term, once a year, or whenever you happen to have a moment. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a genuine difference.
How can you help?
There are several ways you can be involved, and on an ad‑hoc basis, including:
- Offering help at fundraising events
- Helping to run or organise our second‑hand uniform shop
- Attending occasional Parent Voice meetings to share your views
- Volunteering your skills, ideas, or expertise when you’re able
- Assisting at parents evening and open evenings
You don’t need to commit to regular meetings or ongoing duties, just being part of our network means we can reach out when opportunities arise, and you can choose what works for you.
